Course Overview

The flagship program of NIETM is a two-year full-time course spread over four semesters offering specializations in Marketing, Human Resource Management and Finance. Ranked among the top programs in the country, its emphasis is to provide students with a focused and channelized learning experience in the specialization of their own choice to help them become leaders of tomorrow.

Courses Offered Under MBA Programme

MARKETING

Marketing bridges the gap between a society’s material requirements and its economic patterns of response. NIETM’s approach is parallel to the recent shift from a product focus to a customer focus in the marketing arena simply because our students are familiarized with the latest market trends and real business models through workshops, corporate case studies, and guest lectures by industry experts, enabling them to provide solutions at par with organizations’ needs.

FINANCE

From accounting based to economy-based finance, this course is designed to provide a strong foundation in applied finance required in today’s competitive financial world. It focuses on the development of quantitative and analytical skills and provides in-depth learning in the areas of financial, decision-making, investment structuring, pricing, and risk management of financial instruments.

HUMAN RESOURCE

With the focus of Human Resource Management shifting to a strategic orientation with an emphasis on the survival and growth of the business, the new Human Resource Professional is a consultant for the utilization, engagement, and strategic positioning of human talent, to meet the business needs of the present as well as the future. The program enables students to integrate core business competencies with interpersonal skills to managing people.

Departmental Infrastructure

The department was started in the academic year 2022-23 with an intake of 120 and has the distinction of being the first department in this institute and has set- up a great tradition of producing eminent managers, who are competent and committed to high professional standards in the field of Management.

The basic policy of the Institute for the creation and enhancement of Infrastructure is to strictly adhere to the requirements of the regulatory body i.e. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Over and above the requirements of the statutory body, the policy of the Institute towards infrastructure development is keeping with the time. The convenience of the students and faculty as well as requirements understood with constant interaction with stakeholders shape the policy of the Institution for the creation and gradation of infrastructure also.

  • Classrooms are specially furnished for the purpose with projectors and internet facility.
  • The classrooms are also well-equipped with proper ventilation and an uninterrupted power supply.
  • The Institute subscribes to online courses provided by learning ware for most of the subjects with access given to all students and teachers.
  • Extra doubt-clearing classes are given for both semester students in separate tutorial classes.
  • NPTEL video lecturers are available through College Intranet.
  • Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus for the promotion of independent learning.
  • Additional library hours are provided for carrying out project work.
  • Access to on-line journals from Springer is extended to the students and faculty members.
  • Mini projects are undertaken by the students from 1st year onwards.
  • Major project work is started from 2nd semester so as to give them sufficient time for enhancing their skill sets independently, take practical training on developing managerial and other skills and how to implement it in the organization.
  • The institute stresses organizing seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences to help collaborative learning culture among students.
  • The classrooms are provided with projectors and internet connectivity.
  • Online courses in many subjects are available and faculty members are encouraged to utilize these online courses during their regular lectures.
  • Seminars are conducted regularly every year to bring out inherent talents. Special guest lectures are also arranged on the latest topics by eminent academicians/industrialists.
  • Faculty members are encouraged to participate in National/International level seminars by extending academic leave and required financial assistance.
  • The faculty members transfer their knowledge or technical know-how to their students either in the classroom or by arranging special lectures for this purpose.
